A ‘trendy’ beauty product could soon be available to UK consumers through a joint venture between UK cosmetics giant Sephora and cosmetics company Cosmetics International.
The launch of the Cosmetics-UK Beauty partnership is set to coincide with Sephoras new Cosmetics UK retail store, which opens in March 2019, said Cosmetics chief executive Paul Tamburino in a statement.
Sephora will become CosmeticsUK Beauty’s UK retail partner, with the launch of its new store at The Cosmetics House, in the heart of London’s fashionable Docklands, the company said.
The new partnership is part of Sephorababy’s continued expansion into the UK cosmetics market, with more than 200 cosmetic brands joining the Cosmetic International brand, it said.
Cosmetics International has become one of the world’s largest cosmetics retailers with a turnover of more than $50 billion (€48.7 billion).
The UK has a thriving beauty industry, with sales of cosmetics in the country up 20 per cent year-on-year in the first half of 2018, according to Cosmetics Global Market Trends.
